3/1/2026 - In honor of March’s National Social Work Month, we are proud to recognize our many “SOL-mate” social workers as they provide high-quality, compassionate mental health care to thousands of patients each year.

Hear from just a sampling of our compassionate SOL-mates:

"I chose social work because I am passionate about helping others,” said Mallary Burch, LMSW, in Virginia. “However, social work is more than just providing therapy. We are guided by a code of ethics that encourages service, social justice, honoring the dignity and worth of others, acknowledging the importance of relationships, working with integrity, and working competently. This is why I chose social work.”

“One of the most powerful parts of social work is witnessing people begin to find their true selves and believe in themselves,” said Skye Horner, LMSW, in Maryland. “There is something incredibly moving about watching someone reconnect with their strengths, challenge long-held beliefs about their worth, and step into new ways of understanding themselves. Being present for those moments of real-time transformation is something I consider a profound privilege."

“In social work, we don’t erase the past - we honor the story, the pain, the hope, and the strength within it,” said Jessica Capuzzo, LCSW, in New York. “Social workers see the darkness of the world, and still, they choose to get up and bring light to others.”

“I find meaning in my daily work as it reminds me of the innate strength that each of us holds,” said Jen Jackson, LCSW, in Colorado. “It is also a reminder that recovery is a journey that we don't need to navigate alone. To walk beside someone in their journey is an honor, and to witness resilience in real time is incredibly inspiring."

Social worker and other mental health clinicians usually choose this profession to bring hope and healing to people who are struggling, often in their darkest time. Thank you to all our SOL Mental Health clinicians for the authentic care and support you deliver every day to improve the lives of our patients.
