Here to Help You Heal

With nearly 10 years of experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and 15 years as a Registered Nurse (RN), I welcome patients of all backgrounds, with a particular focus on veterans and children ages ten and older and their families, who are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, adjustment disorders, trauma and PTSD, and co-occurring chronic disease. For children and their families, this often means helping them navigate and balance medication prescribing with therapy.

Integrity and compassion are the foundation of my approach, and I believe they help me serve as a trusted partner in your mental health journey. I look forward to helping you achieve lasting wellness and a greater sense of balance in your life.

My Approach to Care

I specialize in medication management, valuing close communication with patients and therapists alike to provide holistic mental health care. Prescribing the fewest medications necessary to treat your presenting conditions is central to my approach, and I partner with you to address the concerns you bring to our work.

Together, we'll build a calm, caring, and collaborative environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to work toward your mental health goals. Care is tailored to your unique needs, and may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for insomnia, mindfulness and stress reduction techniques, and medication to support your treatment while helping you get the most out of your care.

A Journey into Exceptional Patient Care

My path to becoming a psychiatric clinician began in the early 2000s as a military RN, which later led me to earn my doctorate as a PMHNP. While serving as a military nurse and PMHNP, I helped many individuals and families struggling with mental illness receive care while far from home or their usual support systems.

These combined experiences deepened my commitment to reaching those in need and providing high-quality mental health care. I bring a wide range of cultural perspectives, having lived in Texas, Kentucky, Georgia, Maryland, and Germany, which allows me to provide culturally sensitive, individualized care to patients from diverse communities.

Personal Interests

In my free time, I love trail biking and hiking, getting lost in a good book, and gathering around the fire pit for s'mores. I also cheer on my daughter at her athletic events.
