I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and registered nurse with years of clinical experience providing comprehensive psychiatric assessments, medication management, and treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. Areas of focus include the evaluation and treatment of anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, and mood disorders, which I help patients navigate through compassionate, evidence-based care.
At all times, I remain committed to providing patient-centered mental health care that recognizes each person's unique journey, and believe we all have the capacity to grow, heal, and develop healthier ways of understanding and working with our thoughts and emotions. With empathy, curiosity, and a genuine desire to partner with each patient, I work toward helping you achieve improved mental health and well-being. I look forward to walking with you on your journey toward greater balance, resilience, and mental wellness.
Feeling truly heard and understood is central to how I work with each patient, as I'm passionate about helping you move toward lasting mental wellness. As a supportive partner, I collaborate with you to identify your goals and find the treatment approach that best fits your needs, so you can expect a nonjudgmental environment where you can be candid about what you're going through.
In practice, I use medication management and supportive psychotherapy to help you reduce symptoms, build resilience, and improve your overall quality of life. As the mother of five children, I've gained a wide range of experience with different personalities and abilities, which shapes how I tailor my approach to your unique needs and life circumstances.
My path to becoming a psychiatric clinician began with watching my older sister navigate cystic fibrosis and seeing the compassion, knowledge, and support her nurses provided. Their impact inspired me to pursue nursing and sparked a desire to better understand how I could help others. That passion grew through service experiences, working in orphanages in Ecuador and volunteering in Bolivia, where I saw the importance of compassionate care and human connection. I wanted to have the knowledge and education to help people more and to care for people in hard situations.
In my free time, you'll find me snowboarding, singing, or playing the piano. I also love reading, spending time with my kids, and traveling, especially on service missions, which are my favorite. Long walks, relaxing baths, and a good movie round out how I like to unwind.
