As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with ten years of experience, I specialize in strengths recognition, interpersonal growth, and mindfulness for patients across the life cycle. My goal is to help you regain a sense of balance and purpose, improving your overall functioning through a solution-based approach.
I believe compassion and understanding matter above all, which helps me engage earnestly with each patient I work with. I look forward to joining you on your journey to getting better as we work together.
I specialize in creating a safe and reliable environment where you can work toward your goals. That foundation is patient-centered, trauma-informed, and built for developing new skills, and it comes from a passionate belief that therapy should be both confronting and challenging.
Within this environment, you can expect a calm, personable space to do that work. I use narrative therapy and cognitive behavioral treatments to help you reflect on past and current experiences and make adjustments to improve habits and thought patterns. This intention-driven style means I tailor my approach to your unique starting point and overall goals for truly customized care.
My path to becoming a therapist began with the realization that I am at my best when I’m helping others, and that one of my gifts is recognizing vulnerabilities and strengths and finding opportunities for improvement. Being a helper has offered me the perspective that everyone should receive evidence-based, culturally competent care. I invite patients to bring their full selves to each session, and I try my best to model being my authentic self in return.
Outside the therapy space, I really enjoy spending time with my family out in nature, and love cheering on my Hoyas and Washington Mystics!
