I am dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centered counseling for women and teens. Evolving growth requires navigating life transitions, anxiety, relationships, grief, trauma, and changes in identity. A supportive space brings opportunity to process complex emotions and build confidence and self-awareness. Together, we can allow the effects of your personal story (e.g., depression, anxiety, adhd, grief, or recently diagnosed illness) to come forward and take on new meanings and strength.
Healing begins with trust that creates a collaborative space where you feel heard and understood. Using trauma-informed care, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic approaches like mindfulness and self-compassion, we will explore patterns and experiences that have shaped you. The work begins here to build greater autonomy, self-worth, emotional well-being, and meaningful change. The past is indeed a special part of you, yet also an opportunity for you to be empowered. Anne Lamott said it beautifully, “I do not understand the mystery of grace—only that it meets us where we are, but does not leave us where it found us.”
My path to becoming a therapist began long ago and is ever evolving as I continue my education in mental health for women and young adults. Proactively taking steps toward living our best lives is something I believe in, and it takes vulnerability to address our patterns and process personal loss. Loss can take many forms throughout our lives: the loss of a loved one, a friend, or a place. It can also be the loss of the self that often comes with the messy work of overcoming. I use this ongoing education in all of my sessions to ensure compassionate, knowledgeable, and ever-evolving care.
I'm happiest outdoors when I’m exploring mountains, trails, and lakes. A longtime skier and tennis player, I'm equally at home in a quiet bookstore or settled in for an empty nester night, diving into new novels with our Labrador, Louie.
