As a compassionate therapist for individuals, couples, and families, I help diverse populations navigate anxiety, depression, attachment and relational issues, identity exploration, difficult emotions, problematic behaviors, neurodivergence, communication challenges, trauma, LGBTQIA+ issues, social isolation, self-esteem, grief and loss, substance use disorders, and eating disorders.

Throughout my sessions, I take a panoramic view of the biological, psychological, social, environmental, and spiritual contexts in which each individual exists, helping to unpack internal and external barriers to wellbeing. When appropriate, I also love to explore the role of humor and creative self-expression in healing. I believe in prioritizing humility, shared power, and curiosity at all times, which allows me to be a supportive partner in discovering each person’s inner wisdom and lived contexts that guide the work.

My Approach to Care

I specialize in systemic therapy and helping folks deepen their relationships with themselves, which often renders deeper and more authentic relationships with others. My approach is trauma-informed, holistic, and affirming, reflecting my passion for making mental health care more accessible and collaborating with each person to help them find greater joy, meaning, insight, and expansiveness, whether life feels full of tidal waves or, at times, far too still.

In our work together, I strive to create a warm and empathetic space in which all patients feel truly safe, heard, and supported. Rather than aiming to “fix,” my goal is to help you access and build upon your inherent worth and the strengths you already have. This is achieved through a creative, integrative, and fluid therapeutic style based on your needs, though I lean toward an attachment-focused, psychodynamic lens. I draw heavily from narrative therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), somatic interventions, and mindfulness, but also use Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solutions-Focused Therapy, and other modalities to help you come home to yourself, find clarity and connection, and develop healthier habits.

A Journey into Exceptional Patient Care

My path to becoming a therapist is informed by my own mental health journey, in addition to my lifelong interests in human connection and development, psychology, and service. After seeking treatment in my early twenties, I then intensively studied yoga and developed a greater understanding for the connection between mind, body, and spirit.

Though I've lived and worked in many settings, with diverse populations, my experience as a poet in writing workshops allowed me to see the great value in creative self-exploration and expression. Being in shared spaces with others as we grappled with the deepest pockets of our hearts and minds deepened my desire to help others find themselves, find healing, and find connection. In my therapeutic practice now, I bring an open mind and careful attention to each session, believing that a foundation of trust and respect is key to the therapeutic process.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, I like to keep my body and mind active by distance running, skiing, and practicing yoga. I feel most myself when I'm outside, exploring nature, seeing live music, or sitting somewhere peaceful and writing poetry or devouring a good book. I'm also a massive word game enthusiast and jigsaw puzzler, and love to challenge my perfectionism and get creative in the kitchen. Nothing makes me happier than sharing delicious food and laughter with loved ones!
