Children, teenagers, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, communication difficulties, low self-esteem, academic struggles, and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder are the focus of my work as a mental health counselor. I’m also passionate about supporting men and women in the military. Whatever your age or struggle, you'll find tools here to help you cope and work through what you're facing.
Self-compassion, for myself and for those around me, is something I believe in deeply. I look forward to seeing growth and positive change as we work together.
You and your goals are the starting point in our work together. I want you to know that you have the power to change, and that there's always someone here willing to listen and guide you.
Together, we'll build a calm, balanced space where you feel free to express your emotions and know you're being heard. I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing to help you feel grounded and supported. That flexibility carries through to how I tailor each session to your unique needs, situations, and goals for treatment. I also offer sessions in Spanish, as I'm bilingual.
My path to becoming a therapist began with personal experiences, which include growing up in a Hispanic neighborhood in Queens, New York, hearing about the struggles within my community, and later experiencing the loss of a loved one. These experiences deepened my commitment to providing warm, strong mental health care. I bring a unique, holistic approach to each session, focusing on the patient as a whole person and drawing on their strengths as a source of ability to thrive and persevere.
Cooking and baking are two of my favorite ways to unwind, and I always make time for family and travel. I also love being around dogs!
