Here to Help You Heal

As a liberation therapist with six years of experience building strong interpersonal relationships and fostering self-advocacy for patients in both English and Spanish, I help multicultural populations navigate systemic barriers and intergenerational trauma, support healthy identity development, and foster self-trust and self-care. I also empower patients by helping them understand how personal and societal influences shape their experiences, so they can develop a strong sense of self and live authentically.

As a bilingual therapist, I also specialize in anxiety, depression, complex trauma and PTSD (including sexual and childhood trauma), self-esteem difficulties, stress and burnout, women's mental health, relationship issues, and identity exploration for adults and adolescents of color. I am attuned to working with varying ethnic and racial backgrounds within the Latin and African diaspora, and I would love to work with other ethnic and racial populations through a multicultural lens.

Above all, creating a therapeutic relationship rooted in trust, authenticity, and meeting you wherever you are on your journey is central to my approach. It's what allows me to be a collaborative and affirming partner in your growth as you move beyond survival and toward a life where you can truly flourish.

My Approach to Care

I specialize in culturally responsive care, using a collaborative, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach. This practice is rooted in the belief that true healing comes from honoring and integrating every part of your being, particularly the identities that have been fragmented by social conditioning and shame.

My style is empowering, honest, and humorous at times, leading with curiosity in every collaboration. Working together means we foster a compassionate and genuine environment, one that’s tailored to your unique life experiences and goals. I use an integrative approach that primarily draws on, though is not limited to, psychodynamic and trauma-informed cognitive behavioral methods to help you increase your awareness and enact proactive corrective experiences.

A Journey into Exceptional Patient Care

My path to becoming a therapist began with a passion for social change and representation. As an Afro-Latina queer woman, I've understood what it's meant to feel othered and put to shame for parts of myself that are undeniably humane and beautiful. Growing up in a Latin household, I've learned to embrace the inspiring sides of my culture while also challenging the internalized oppression my loved ones felt they needed to adopt to survive. I've also learned to make space for the complex, the dark, and the nuanced experiences we find ourselves in, while undeniably living a passionate and joyful life.

These experiences deepened my commitment to providing a non-judgmental and accessible space for patients to feel seen, rewrite their stories, and enact the change they desire. I bring this genuine perspective to each session with you.

Personal Interests

I'm a lover of movement and art, and enjoy taking all types of dance classes, walking in nature, exploring fashion, and painting.
