I am a master social worker and mental health therapist specializing in integrative psychotherapy for the LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC, and kink/BDSM community, as well as teens, young adults, and adults. While I specialize in trauma-based gender/queer-affirming care for all populations, I also pull from multiple therapeutic approaches to help my patients navigate life transitions, identity, depression, anxiety, and more.
My goal is to create a unique treatment for each individual, as I am passionate about utilizing new approaches to therapy, allowing for a more comfortable and safe experience.
I believe that you are the expert on yourself, which helps me be a team player in your healing journey. Working together, you can expect an affirming and safe environment, free of any form of judgment. I use many skills and approaches to help you fully in your treatment based on your own individual experiences and symptoms. My style is unique, using different approaches based on your needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavior Therapy, exposure therapies, and integrative work. I look forward to working together to create a positive outcome.
My path to becoming a therapist began with my actual pursuit of a degree in marine biology. After taking a break from school, I decided I wanted to change my path to one that allowed me to help others through social work.
While exploring gender-affirming and queer resources, I recognized that there weren’t many available locally, and I wanted to change that. As a Mexican/queer person, my desire is to give back to my community, and I approach patients with this mindset, treating them exactly as I would like to be treated.
When I’m not in the office, I enjoy a wide range of hobbies to stay grounded and fulfill my passions. These include thrifting, reading, collecting plants, and playing games on my Switch.
