With nearly 15 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, substance use recovery, relationship concerns, and life transitions. I work with individuals and couples, offering a compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based approach to creating meaningful and lasting change.
I believe that healing and growth are possible when we feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. Whether you're navigating emotional challenges, working through past experiences, strengthening your relationship, or seeking a deeper connection with yourself, my goal is to help you develop greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and resilience.
I also have a particular passion for helping couples reconnect, strengthen their emotional bonds, and build relationships grounded in trust, understanding, and lasting love. I believe meaningful relationships are one of life's greatest sources of connection and fulfillment.
Creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered is at the heart of my work. I view therapy as a collaborative process of self-discovery, healing, and growth, and I believe that meaningful change begins with curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to explore new possibilities.
My approach is evidence-based, person-centered, and integrative, allowing me to tailor our work to your unique experiences, needs, and goals. I value authenticity and genuine connection, and I strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable exploring difficult emotions, recognizing your strengths, and developing the tools needed to navigate life's challenges.
In my work with couples, I draw upon my completed Level 1 and Level 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. This approach emphasizes strengthening friendship and emotional connection, improving communication, navigating conflict more effectively, and building a deeper sense of trust and partnership. I am passionate about helping couples better understand one another, reconnect with what brought them together, and create healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
I believe therapy can involve meaningful emotional work while also making room for hope, gratitude, humor, and the moments of connection that remind us of what's possible.
My journey to becoming a therapist began with a genuine desire to understand people and support them through life's challenges. Over nearly 15 years of clinical practice, I've had the privilege of walking alongside individuals navigating emotional pain, personal growth, recovery, and significant life transitions. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the resilience of the human spirit and the importance of compassionate, individualized care.
Throughout my career, I've remained committed to expanding my knowledge and clinical skills so I can better support the people I work with. In addition to my credentials as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addiction Counselor, I am also an Acupuncture Detoxification Practitioner and have completed Level 1 and Level 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I value continued learning and integrating approaches that support emotional well-being, recovery, and meaningful relationships.
What continues to inspire me most is witnessing people discover new perspectives, reconnect with themselves and others, and recognize their own capacity for meaningful change.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family, hiking, paddleboarding, snowboarding, listening to music, learning to play the bass guitar, and getting lost in a good book. I also love exploring my creative side through painting and writing, and spending time with my beloved dog, Bodhi.
