Maddie earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Phoenix University in Arizona, followed by a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regis University in Denver, CO.
Maddie had gained experience working with individuals in diverse settings - community mental health, residential clinics, outpatient and intensive outpatient level of care, and in private practice.
She incorporates an integrative approach tailored to client’s unique needs: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing.
Maddie is passionate about conducting thorough clinical research and staying up to date with evidence-based modalities and interventions to deeply understand the cause for her client’s ongoing psychological distress and improve outcomes for her clients. Maddie is trained in treating variety of mood disorders, ADHD, attachment disorders, PTSD and trauma. She is experienced in counseling clients who are challenged by difficulties in interpersonal relationships, career, and life transitions, as well as identity exploration, cultural diversity issues, parenting, self-esteem, stress management, body-mind connection, and spirituality.
Maddie’s counseling style is calming, open-minded, and compassionate. Clients describe her as authentic, insightful, and genuinely caring.
Maddie is dedicated on guiding her clients into gaining an insight of their own emotions, cognitions, and behaviors; gaining awareness of the “blind spots” that make them feel stuck or challenged and learning coping skills and strategies that are practical and fun.
