As a resident mental health counselor, I am dedicated to helping adolescents and adults navigate life challenges and stressors, specializing in anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, grief and loss, emotional regulation, family conflicts, relationship issues, and trauma. My commitment is to always provide a supportive and welcoming environment for you to process difficult emotions and experiences. This care is trauma-informed and culturally responsive, taking into account your unique experience, strengths, values, and perspectives.
My belief in an empathetic, collaborative, and empowering approach shapes my approach to care, one that ensures a safe and non-judgmental space where you can comfortably share your thoughts, feelings, and concerns. That journey toward healing, growth, and resilience is one I look forward to supporting.
I believe in taking a holistic approach to counseling, understanding the connection between mind and body in the healing process. Because you have your own preferences, expectations, and values, I blend a variety of modalities into this therapeutic approach, all of which are tailored to you. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), along with a multicultural and trauma-informed perspective and somatic exercises such as grounding techniques.
I’m passionate about helping you build resilience, recognize your strengths, and move forward with greater confidence and overall well-being.
My path to becoming a therapist began with my own experience in counseling, where I learned more about myself and my perspective on the world. This meaningful experience deepened my commitment to providing that same level of empathetic and empowering care to my patients – a commitment I continue to value each and every day.
Just a few of the hobbies I enjoy include reading, watching a good TV show, going on walks with my dog, pottery, painting, and traveling!
